Purpose Birthing Leadership

Posted OnMay 6, 2021 0

When Jesus was here on earth, He discipled a few people and mentored them to be like Him in so many ways. He even promised them that they would go further than He did and do greater things.

This is not because He Himself wasn’t capable of doing those greater things, no. But because He knew His mission was to establish the foundation of His Kingdom in those disciples so that they could build on that foundation.

Christ released them into their greater purpose. He did not envy them that purpose to the point that He would suppress them. But He saw what they were going to achieve and that gave Him immense joy!

So what kind of leader are you? Do you practice purpose birthing leadership or purpose suppressing leadership? Some leaders suppress the purpose of their followers because they feel threatened by their potentials.

They use their positions as leaders to control their followers, not allowing them the full expression of God’s grace that is on their lives too.

Your leadership position is not your opportunity to control people and suppress their God-given purpose from being lived. Rather, it’s your opportunity to demonstrate Christ-likeness that births and establishes destinies.

Christ’s disciples did do greater things than Him and that is why you and I can enjoy the gift of salvation today. Christ only preached in Israel, but His Apostles managed to take the gospel to the whole earth by His grace!

Prayer:

Father, thank You for giving us the example of our LORD Jesus Christ who showed us that leadership isn’t just about the leader being great, but about making their followers great in their respective abilities, gifts and purpose.

Please help us to practise purpose birthing leadership in whatever capacity that we lead others. May we not suppress other people’s purpose because of our insecurities as leaders, in Yeshua’s mighty name. #Selah.

Have a blessed day and stay safe under the blood ? Agape ❤️
