There is an innate desire in everyone of us to make progress and move from one level to another. Movement, they say, is a sign of life. When you are making movement in life, it is a sign that there is life in what you’re doing and in you.

Being stagnant can make one feel as if life is passing them by. Being stagnant is not part of God’s plans for any of His children. That is why He promises us that we shall tend upwards only and never backwards when we listen to and obey Him (Deuteronomy 28:13).

Promotion, however comes from God and there is a time and season for everything. In our desire to see this promise established in our lives, we can tend to be impatient and seek for our upward movement in ways that do not necessarily glorify God.

Doing this can cause us to lose our sweetness as the salt of the earth. It can make us lose our godly character or nature. Patience and trust in God to bring us promotion at the right time will ensure that we stay true to who we are.

Wait to be promoted by the Lord. Promotion that comes from God does not taint your character, but enhances it and gives you more opportunities to bless others.

Your promotion is not just for you, but so that others can also benefit from your increase. You would negate this purpose if you have to hurt others unjustly in the process.

Prayer:

Father, thank You because of Your promises to bless and increase us if we are obedient and listen to You. You promised to make us great and to promote us.

Lord, help us to learn patience so that we may obtain our promises in your own ways, not ours. Clear every obstacle in our paths of progress and cause us to walk on our high places without any delay in Yeshua’s mighty name. #Selah.
