A Display of God’s Power

At home, with my kids, we have been considering King David’s life. He was a man who went through many troubles! As soon as he was secretly anointed the next king of Israel and he killed Goliath, all hell seemed to break loose on him.

How could he deal with Saul, the current king, who could sense that this guy will take the throne from him and was bent on killing David before that could happen.

He had to deal with the Philistines, wars, his own children rising against him or hurting and killing one another. He was also dealing with his own weaknesses as a man which caused him to fall into sin against the Lord.

David really had it going! However, in all these, the LORD would always show up for him to fight for him and give him victory upon victory, over and over again.

David could have sat down and decided that God hated him and that’s why he had to face so many things. But he didn’t. He was always calling out for mercy and asking for divine help.

And he was made a living display of God’s power and glory through all the victories he was given, divinely, by the help of Yahweh. He is an example of what God can do with our life challenges when we trust Him.

You could either be praying for a life free of challenges, in which case, you will live an ordinary life and just happily coast along. Not a bad thing at all.

On the other hand, you could pray that the LORD uses all your trials and tribulations to glorify Himself. In which case, you will manifest His glory, rule and command in the affairs of nations!

You too can be a living, breathing display of God’s power. All you need to do is listen to Him, trust Him and obey Him.

Prayer

Father, help our hearts to always trust in You regardless of what life throws our way. Help us to desire that You glorify Yourself in all the trials of life that we may face, in Yeshua’s mighty name. #Selah

Have a beautiful day. Agape ❤
