The Right Kind Of Busyness

Posted OnMarch 19, 2020 0

Idleness is not an attribute that is expected or encouraged in the kingdom of God. We need to be busy.

There is so much work to be done. So much ground to cover still and so much harvest waiting to be brought in. And we have so very little time.

We need to get busy with whatever has been placed in our hand to work with. Wherever we have been placed, in the government or in the marketplace, a homemaker or a policy maker, on the pulpit or in the pew, we need to be effectively doing it with the right heart.

This is the right kind of busyness. You can however still be busy but in the wrong way. You could be busy meddling in other people’s businesses. Sticking your nose where it isn’t wanted or even needed.

You could be busy misrepresenting the kingdom by disrupting other people’s lives. This comes from a life that is idle, away from the right kind of busyness.

Having time to meddle in other people’s business is a sign of idleness. Keep busy and you will not have time to be nosey!

Everything that you do outside of the work that you have been called to do can be considered to be idleness because they don’t count. Concentrate your efforts on those things that really do matter.

Prayer:

Father LORD, we ask for the heart and desire to go after only those things that matter to ensuring that Your kingdom is established here on earth.

Help us to direct our energy appropriately so that we can cover much ground in the short time we have left in Jesus’ mighty name. #Selah

Have a beautiful day. Agape ❤
