So, the kingdom of heaven is not in food and drink only. Certainly not just in words only either. It is in demonstrating the power and the Spirit.

We have been called to demonstrate the love of Christ which is able to break down any barriers and win any battle. We have been called to be fruitful in everything that the Holy Spirit represents.

By the fruits we bear, we can be identified as children of the Most High God. We have been called to peace, joy, patience, meekness, love, goodness, kindness, faithfulness and self control.

You, as a believer, are like a tree that is only useful in the vineyard when it bears fruit. If the tree ever stops being fruitful, it is then just occupying space. It becomes useless to the vine owner.

It is only a matter of time before that tree gets cut down. You have to do everything you can to retain your space in our Father’s vineyard!

This calls for dying to flesh daily. Keeping your mind clear of anything that can drain you spiritually. Taking care of those little foxes that spoil the vine.

A little gossip here, a little unkind thought there. They all add up, and before you know it, your tree is about to be cut down! Being fruitful is not optional for any child of God. It is a must.

Submit yourself to God and resist the devil. Anything that will hinder your fruitfulness will, like a cancerous cell, be surgically excised from your life by heaven’s theatre.

Just submit under heaven’s most precise and competent Surgeon- The Holy Spirit!

Prayer:

Father as we submit our hearts and souls to You, please cut off from us anything that will cause us to stumble, that lies within us. Help us to live worthy of You and Your calling

Remove our unfruitfulness and teach us to remain tended, pruned and fertilised by You and Your word in Yeshua’s mighty name. #Selah
