Sometimes, going through life as a Christian can seem like the journey the Israelites took through the wilderness after their miraculous deliverance from land of slavery.

Being born again is being delivered from slavery to sin and your fleshly desires. Then, after the euphoria of that experience subsided a little and the enemy realised that somehow he has lost you, he begins to make life difficult for you.

First, you come to the Red Sea stuck, but the Lord comes through for you. Then it’s to the bitter waters that turns your belly inside out, but again, the Lord turns that around into sweetness for you.
.
After this, it’s the times you’ve felt forsaken, not able to hear the leading voice of the Holy Spirit and you thought, “that’s it! He has abandoned me! Let me find another god to serve.” You were delivered from that temptation, just in the nick of time.
.
And you just keep going, fighting so many battles. Not knowing where your destination is or how you were going to get there. You keep moving, it’s been days, weeks, months, years, even decades and now …
.
Now you’re just at the edge of your promised land. However, you don’t know it just yet, but you’re finally ready to throw in the towel. “Egypt” now seems like luxury compared to what you’re going through right now. “It’s enough! Christianity is not better after all!”

What To Do?

Wait. Let me encourage you … lift up your eyes and see, your “Canaan” lies in front of you. Look closely and you will see it. You haven’t came all the way from Egypt through the wilderness, now at the brink of your breakthrough only to give up. Go on, rise up and possess your promised land.
It’s worth fighting for!

I pray for strength and increased grace for everyone ready to let go and return to Egypt. Grace to hold on and see this journey through will be released to us all in Yeshua’s mighty name. #Selah
