The fear of the LORD, they say, is the beginning of wisdom. And so it is. The wisest decision you can ever make in your life is to base every decision you make, all your actions on the fear of Yahweh.

When you allow the counsel of God to guide your every step, you demonstrate that you have been guided by the great gift of wisdom. And not only that, it also demonstrates good understanding!

Foolishness makes people say there is no God, or shun His wise counsel. This is also the height of it. In every heart is a deep yearning for an understanding of the power behind creation, the universe and everything in it.

You seek understanding, but without taking the first step into having wisdom, your understanding will be tainted. Covet wisdom? Learn to fear the LORD. Not only is this the beginning of wisdom, it is wisdom!

Father, please give us hearts that continually fear You. Help us be guided by understanding when making our choices by turning away from evil.

Fill our hearts with undivided love for You and Your people that we may be wise, just like You, in Yeshua’s mighty name. #Selah.
