When I was growing up, I read a book called She Stoops to Conquer. I honestly can’t remember what the book is all about now, but the title has stuck with me even through all these many years after reading it.

In many ways, we have been told that the pathway to victory in life is to stand and show strength. Go against whatever or whoever has come against you and show them that you are not a walk-over. Life is a battle!

And so it is! But the greatest enemy that we face in life can only be overcome when we display humility on bended knees.

Never by trying to display our own power, strength or ability to fight for what we want in life, but by realising our need for a
Saviour and remaining on bended knees before Him

That’s why the enemy wants us humans to remain prideful towards the only One to whom we must remain humble. The same sin that earned him his eviction from the presence of his creator – the sin of pride!

Unfortunately, humanity has taken this bait and have raised their hearts against God in pride. Denying His existence or His power to save and deliver. Making a mockery of His word and those who fear Him.

However, there is no other way to our victory in life than to stoop in order to have victory. To continually bow in humility and worship before the God of heaven and earth.

He who remains on bended knees before God is the spiritual giant to whom the devil remains on bended knees. Stay humble before Yahweh!

It’s never by power not by might, but by submitting to the power of the Holy Spirit in all humility of heart.

Prayer:

Father, thank You because all the victory we require in life can only be found in You. Only when we submit to You can we successfully resist the enemy and make him flee from us.

Please help us to always remain humble before you, on bended knees in total submission. As we do this, we rise as giants against the enemy of our souls and take our victory over him in Yeshua’s mighty name. #Selah.
