We tend to talk a lot about the loving, compassionate, forgiving and Fatherly side of Yahweh. And yes, He is all of these and even more to all His children. Even those who don’t accept Him as a Father also benefit from His goodness. After all, the sun shines on both the good and evil people.

We however, tend to not talk much about the other side of God which is the fact that He is the fierce Lion of Judah, the Mighty Man of war who would avenge His children of all attacks and opposition.

Sometimes, when we talk about it, we get responses like, God is too good to do that. Or, I can’t imagine that a God as loving as our God would actually stand against anyone like that.

The truth is that our LORD Jesus is the Lion and also the Lamb. He is the Jehovah Shalom, Prince of Peace, but also Jehovah Sabaoth, the Lord of hosts. He can be anything to us or to our enemies whenever we need Him to be, or whenever He has to be.

The LORD can be your hiding place, but also a terror to your enemies. He can be love to you and in the same breath, strike deep fear in the hearts of your oppressors. Jehovah can rise as your help and at the same time rise against evil in your life.

No one can hide from the wrath of Yahweh just as you cannot his from His love. The wrath of God is upon anything that stands against you and they cannot escape Him.

Let this bring peace and confidence to your heart and soul in all your ways and at all times.

PRAYER:

Father, thank you for always fighting our battles. Thank you for nothing and no one can escape you. Please help us to always be completely reassured of your support in any battle of life, in Yeshua’s mighty name. #Selah
