In the part of the world where I was born, there’s a saying that if a city has no laws, it means there’s no sin in that city. At least, this is how best I can translate it, lol. This is true. Laws are passed to reflect the fact that something or an act has brought that issue to light.

There were no laws given to Adam and Eve, but a set of instructions. That is before they sinned. However, as soon as sin was committed by both of them, blessings, cursing and laws were introduced.

Where you do not obey the laws, there are consequences. And where there is obedience, there are also rewards. It is the same in every nation of the Earth. Disobedience to the laws brings the wrath of the law. While obedience is rewarded with peaceful living.

It’s the same also in God’s kingdom. There are consequences and rewards for however we choose to treat His words. Blessings and cursing have been laid before us so that we may choose. Life or death.

But if you desire to be blessed, then you have to choose right. You cannot want God’s blessings and despise His words. Every blessing you covet from Him is tied to how much regard you give to His words.

Choose to live by faith and obedience to God’s words and you will receive the desire of your heart, according to His will. Choose to despise His words and you risk destruction of all that you build on lies.

Prayer:

Father, please help us to always base our lives on full, not partial, obedience to Your words. As we do this, we will not miss our rewards and blessings in Yeshua’s mighty name. #Selah.
