Yahweh does not live in buildings made of bricks, mortar and woods. He does not inhabit houses like we do. He lives in houses not built by hands. Every Christ believing, Spirit filled child of His is His temple.

When you’re asked to build GOD a house, you’re asked to make yourself habitable for Him. You are His home. And this will take some effort on your part. You will also need to invest time in this.

Everything you need has been made available through the knowledge of Christ Jesus. You just need to make use of them. Study and know who GOD is and who you are.

Live a life that is worthy of Him. Seek His presence like your very next breath depends on it. Never take the Holy Spirit for granted. Ask Him to make your heart His abode forever.

Avoid sin and any evil thoughts. In speech and in all that you do, allow holiness to be your watchword. Be the salt and light of the earth. Honour the LORD in this and He will honour you in return.

Eat well, rest well and find time to play too. Building yourself as a temple for Him is one of the greatest honour that you can give to GOD.

Every effort you put into building yourself as the LORD’s temple is matched and indeed exceeded by how much God adds to you in return. You honour Him, and He honours you back in so many ways.

Prayer:

Father thank You for counting us worthy to be dwelling places for You. Please help us to be more intentional at building ourselves for you.

Teach our hearts to long for more and more of you. As we do this, restore to us all that was taken away during times where we have neglected to build Your Temple in Yeshua’s mighty name. #Selah.
