Achieve A Balance
Anger, they say, lies in the bosom of fools. We live in a world where everything would seem to be conspiring to take away our fruit of the Spirit to replace it with works of the flesh.
One of those is human or fleshly anger. This is anger that has its roots in your human nature. Maybe your pride has been injured. Any anger borne from the realm of your soul.
It’s blinding and clouds your sense of reasoning. No one can get through to you in this state. It is very unforgiving. It’s end result is bitterness, hatred, revenge, feuds, jealousy, and so on and so forth.
This never brings about anything godly in us. No one operating in the flesh can ever establish the will of the Spirit. Fleshly anger never allows the will of God to be done.
There is, on the other hand a type of “anger” that is acceptable and godly. We have dubbed it holy anger or zeal. It’s the type that Jesus demonstrated when He chased out those buying and selling in the temple (John 2:13-16).
This type of anger is directed at injustices, demonic oppression, poverty, evil in our society, or anything that goes against Father’s will.
This is used in spiritual warfare and it is directed at changing things in the spirit realm, to cause a physical manifestation of the will of God here on earth. Our battles as Christians aren’t physical. We do not wrestle against flesh and blood.
So, in order to establish the righteousness of God in your life, check it. Is the anger stirring me up right now human of fleshly in nature? Or is it rooted in establishing the will of God?
Ask yourself if you’re acting in line with God’s way or your own way. Is this forgiving in nature? Does it bring about bitterness and cause even more feud?
Prayer:
Father, thank you because our emotions are governed by your Spirit. Please give us discernment to know when we have crossed over into operating in the flesh in any situation.
Teach us to always apply our anger in appropriate situations and ways in Yeshua’s mighty name. #Selah
Have a wonderful day. Agape ❤
