Seasoned Responses Defuse Tension
When you season your food well, it enhances the taste and makes it enjoyable to the palate. You’d savour the taste and might even go for more helpings.
You want to use the right blend of seasoning that goes with the particular food. You don’t want to overdo it or under season it. Just the right amount and everyone who eats it is sure to compliment the cook!
The Bible is our standard and it tells us to ensure our words are well seasoned that we may be able to give an appropriate answer to everyone. Your words are like food being served to your listeners. You will either sound pleasing to them or you will put them off!
And sometimes, it’s difficult to respond with well seasoned words because of how unseasoned the person you’re interacting with is. Their words may not be palatable at all, but we, as the salt of the earth, should not respond alike.
Responding in a soft and calm manner does not indicate weakness or lack of opinion on your part. But it is necessary for our response to always be seasoned with salt in order to defuse potentially volatile situations in maintaining relationships.
That doesn’t make you a fool or any less a victorious child of God. You can condemn every tongue accusing you, but with quiet strength and power that commands respect and obedience in the spirit realm.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for making me the salt of the earth. I make this world pleasant and a wonderful place to live in through my words and actions.
I therefore choose to be mindful of my responses today, tomorrow, this week and beyond. If I fall, I will rise and keep trying until I consistently get it right in Yeshua’s mighty name. #Selah.
Have a beautiful day and stay safe under the blood ? Agape ❤️
