When we praise and extol God and His works in our lives, we enthrone Him. We are acknowledging Him as the sovereign God who is all in all.

The more we do this daily, the more He is magnified. To magnify someone or something means to make the bigger. It also means to enlarge, maximise or heighten. This is exactly what we do when we give our God all the glory, honour and adoration.

When you magnify Him, however, something wonderful happens to you. You begin to diminish. Your flesh that wants the glory for itself is silenced. You ungodly desires are taken away. Your mind no longer thinks of it’s own needs.

You may think this is a negative, but no! It’s the best thing that could ever happen to you. To allow the LORD GOD of heaven and earth be our all in all. To begin to realise that without Him, we are nothing.

There is nothing like allowing Him to be who He is and we just ride on the wheels of His perfect love and will, fully enfolded into Him. Nothing!

The more we proclaim The LORD, the more He is magnified. The more He is magnified, the more our flesh must diminish. We cannot magnify Him and ourselves at the same time.

So let Him be God. Two captains cannot steer the same boat. Let Him lead, while you follow. Give Him His due and continually praise Him. Hallelujah!!

Father, as we praise and extol Your Holy name, please be magnified over all our desires, needs and wants. And be God indeed. Increase oh LORD, that we may decrease till we are all of You and none of us. In Yeshua’s mighty name. #Selah
