Wisdom From Obedience
It is said that grey hair on the elderly signifies wisdom. This, they say, comes from having experienced life and knowing a lot about life.
They have attributed wisdom to age. The longer you have lived the wiser you are, right? Hm, that sounds logical too. But as you know, with God, the wisdom of man is foolishness in all it’s glory.
With God, age is not synonymous with wisdom, but obedience is. The more you obey, the wiser you become. The more you would understand how to navigate life in the way of the LORD, who Himself is wisdom personified.
Wisdom and the ability to understand spiritual mysteries is not dependent on how long you have lived. It is dependent on how much you have observed and obeyed God’s precepts.
A little child who has spent a decade of their life learning to walk in the precepts of Yahweh, listening to and obeying the voice of the Holy Spirit can teach an old man who has lived decades without learning of God, a thing or two about life.
Rather than waiting to acquire wisdom with age, why don’t you acquire it now with your obedience, being careful to learn and observe the precepts of Father?
Be led by the Holy Spirit. And let His divine wisdom take you deeper and deeper into the knowledge of mysteries that can never be uncovered with age alone.
Prayer:
Father, thank You because by You, we know all things. In You, we have all things and with You, we can never go wrong.
Please help us to continually choose the knowledge and obedience of Your precepts at all times, that we may live a life full of wisdom and understanding more than those who have lived their lives never observing Your precepts.
As we do this, LORD, may our lives be a display of Your righteousness glory and blessings in Yeshua’s mighty name. #Selah.
