Be Content, You’re on a Journey.

Godliness with contentment is great gain! 1Tim 6:6

A word for somebody .…

Are you becoming battle weary and want to give up? Has your promised change taken so long you now feel like it’s never gonna come?

Hold on! Don’t let go of your hope just yet!

It pays to be Godly and be content with where you are today knowing that God will lift you to where He wants you to be in His own good time. Make the most of where you are right now because precept upon precept, line upon line, The Lord is working on you to take you to His ultimate goal for your life.

Do not despair thinking the Lord delays. While you wait He’s perfecting you, making you ready and ensuring your heart will stay with Him when you eventually get to where He has purposed for you. Stay with Him, hold on for your change will surely come. Has He made you promises of greatness? Then rest your mind in the assurance the He will make sure they come to pass for He never says a thing and changes His mind.

You will get there, only don’t give up. I pray the peace of Jesus which passes all human understanding into every heart reading this today. Amen!

Happy New Month!

Just like the April showers bring forth life and beauty in the flowers that spring forth, may this month bring you life in all that you do and may the beauty of the Lord be revealed in you like never before. Happy new month everyone!

There is always specific purpose(s) for every manufactured equipment. The best way to find out is by reading the manufacturer’s manual that comes with the equipment. I think you might agree with me that a lot of the gadgets we have today (especially smart phones) are being under utilised simply because many people don’t take time to find out everything the gadget is able to do. They probably use only a tenth of the available functions, and meanwhile that gadget might be capable of doing so much more that life, business, career, etc could be made so much easier.

We human beings are like these gadgets with so much potential most often undiscovered and under utilised.
As a human being, you were created to have authority and not to be subdued. You were created not to be dominated, but to have dominion, and you were created for exploits: either for good or evil – your choice!

However we tend to have so many things thrown at us which try to contest and usurp our purpose. Don’t let any situation or circumstance subdue you, don’t let it have dominion over your life and definitely choose to do great exploits for the good of those you have been called to reach.

I want to encourage you this week as we celebrate the victory of Jesus over sin and death, to remember that you are already a victor and Jesus has made it possible for us to live God’s exact plan and purpose for us. Fight the good fight of faith and always know you were made to win!

You’re A Masterpiece

You are a masterpiece, created by the master creator specifically for good works.

Every single one of us is created differently and have specific assignment to fulfil. Find it, walk in it!

You’re one in over 7 billion- there’s no one else exactly like you on this earth!

Words that are spoken to us about us are powerful. They’re like mirrors which reflect who we are.

Whose words are you allowing to dwell on your mind about you?

Feed your mind with words that build and reflect who you truly are in Christ Jesus, not those that would destroy your mind and destiny…

Power of Positive Thinking

Power of Positive Thinking

Refuse to be ruled in your mind by the negative. Negative thoughts are like slow poison, start from very small seeds which, if entertained have the capacity to grow and pervade every area of your life, and can also spiral out of control.

Learn to harness your mind and thoughts, bring them into obedience with God’s thoughts towards you. Allow the force of positive thoughts to rule in your mind and your life will follow this path. ‪#‎Shalom‬

Phil 4-8

Happy New Year to you all! I pray this New Year brings you all your heart’s desires and also brings you closer to God in all that you do.

In addition to all the great things this year holds in store for us, I also believe 2016 is a year of ‘Choice’. You can no longer sit on the fence and believe you will get along just fine. You will have to make a choice on who to serve, follow and do his will.
Joshua 24: 14-15 encourages to serve God, and to choose this day whom you will serve. You can no longer be hot nor cold, you can no longer decide to serve God today, and do your own thing the next: in essence, you can no longer be lukewarm!

When I look at events happening all around the world, I see that the kingdom of darkness is advancing, and becoming very aggressive and bold in their moves. They are no longer covert in their operation, but very upfront! The kingdom of God needs to counteract this by arising and stop being afraid to boldly and publicly proclaim the Lordship of Jesus Christ. How long are we going to hide and be complacent about our beliefs? We need labourers in the fields, bringing in the harvest which is ever so ripe.

I see people in their droves heading in the wrong direction and my heart bleeds that we who are meant to be helping them find their way are just sitting around, looking in the other direction and not being bothered about the destruction coming to humanity. Or we are just too busy with other stuff to feel the pain The Lord feels when He sees the humanity He died for, heading towards destruction.

You see each second that passes, each day we wake up, and every New Year we celebrate bring us closer to the end of age which has been promised us. Recent events are evidences of what we are to expect when the end is near. It’s time for those that name the name of the Lord to fully depart from iniquity and work the work of Him who has sent us while it is yet day (while there is still time!)

If you choose to serve the Lord, which I hope you would, then serve Him with all of your heart and make His priority yours – souls! If you won’t serve Him, then stop the façade and make your stance know –perhaps then, we might stop assuming you do serve Him and try to help you see the Truth.

If we all, who are His children allow our lights to shine and we start to manifest His glory all over the world, then our lights will pervade the whole earth, and men will be drawn to the brightness of our rising.

I love you all and it’s my desire to see everyone reading this on the other side of eternity with our Father, rejoicing, having brought others along with us to the banquet of our Lord and His Bride (The Church).

The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face to shine on you and be gracious unto you; the Lord turn His face toward you and give you His peace – Numbers 6: 24-26.

New Year

There’s no pain worse than that of losing a child … believe me I know!
Yet the bible says God was pleased to sacrifice His only Son Jesus just for you and I. Does this mean it wasn’t painful for Him – I don’t believe that for one minute. But by doing that He has gained to Himself many sons. You’re truly “Precious in His eyes”!

Isaiah 43:4 – ”Since you are precious and honoured in my sight, and because I love you, I will give people in exchange for you, nations in exchange for your life”

When destiny calls, it’s always in the future. Leave your past behind and move on into your God ordained destiny.

So you have a not so great past… well, who hasn’t? We all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God… -Romans 3:23. Don’t stay stuck in your past, don’t let anyone label you based on what they know about your past.

The most important thing is that you have forsaken that life, and taken on the righteousness of God through Jesus Christ His Son. You can now move on into the great future which awaits you in Him.

Your life is only defined by what God says about you. Study the scriptures and find out exactly what He says about who you are in Him and live confidently, knowing He does not condemn you for anything you did -as long as you no longer do those things.

Romans 8:1-2(NIV) – ‘There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death’

A few days ago, my 4 year old DS (Dear Son) out of the blues asked me this question, and as I stuttered trying to answer, I realised how big a question this is. Later I would ruminate on this ‘big’ question and in my thoughts one question led to another.
In order to answer, I first asked myself – who is a Christian? Then I asked myself –did God or even Christ Himself actually call us Christians? If not then what did God and Christ call us who believe in Him as the only begotten Son of God? How did the early believers refer to themselves?
I decided to do a bit of research into this and realised the word Christian appeared only 3 times in the bible – Act 11:26, Acts26:28 and 1Peter 4:16. Of these 3 instances, only once did Paul refer to believers as Christians in order to encourage them in their sufferings, and it was more like if you call yourselves…. Believers were first and foremost called Christians in order to identify them (maybe mockingly) as those who follow Christ’s teachings. A Christian sounds to me like someone who is a follower of Christ’s doctrine, His teachings and trying to follow in His footsteps.
On further study, I also found believers are called Sons of God by the first disciples. They never referred to themselves or other believers as Christians. The phrase “sons of God” refers to as many as believe in Jesus Christ (John1:12), as many as are led by His Spirit (Romans 8:14), the earnest expectation awaiting their manifestation (Romans 8:19), having the Spirit of God to call Him father (Galatians 4:6). Other scriptural references to believers as sons of God are Phil 2:15, Heb 12:7, 2Peter 3:11 and 1 John 3:1-2.
So what do sons do? They are expected to manifest characteristics of their father, not try to follow him, but actually be like him effortlessly. Sons have the DNA of their father which makes them act like him, think like him, have the same mannerisms, talk like him. If a son has nothing of his father, the tendency is to question the paternity of that son.
So is God a Christian? My answer to that is a definite no. Or more importantly, am I a Christian or the son of God? I’d rather be the son of God than a Christian. It is estimated that there are about 2.01 billion people in the world who refer to themselves as Christians. But how many are actually manifesting as the sons of God?…
Well, this is just me though, but hey, what would you call yourself, a Christian or a son?

Is God A Christian
